Nutritionist at The Burke Allergy and Asthma Center
In order to more effectively meet the nutritional care needs of our allergy and asthma patients, Mrs. Christine Haas has joined our staff at the Burke Allergy and Asthma Center. Mrs. Haas has been a nutrition educator for seven years and a certified nutrition specialist for four years.
Mrs. Haas is highly trained and experienced in the field of nutrition. She received a Master of Science Degree in Health Promotion Management from The American University in Washington, D.C., and holds a Master of Teaching Degree with a focus in Nutrition Education from The University of Vermont. Mrs. Haas is a Certified Nutrition Specialist through the American College of Nutrition. She is a former adjunct professor of nutrition at Montgomery College. In addition, she holds a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management from the American Dietetic Association and a Certification in Personal Training from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Furthermore, she has served as a nutritionist and personal trainer at The Sports Club L.A. in Washington, D.C.
As a licensed nutritionist, Mrs. Haas has advanced skills, education, and training to help patients maintain a balanced diet while avoiding specific foods which may trigger asthma, allergies, and eczema. Mrs. Haas provides nutritional care services to our patients within the scope of our allergy practice.
With the invaluable assistance of Mrs. Haas, I am able to more fully meet your health care needs and maintain the high level of quality medical treatment that you desire.
